Best Toys for Girls 5 to 6 Years of Age (2009-2010)

What are the best toys for girls 5 to 6 years of age?  There are quite a few to choose from - and making a final decision on these wasn't the easiest thing to do!  =)  I studied information from Toy Wishes magazines as well as looking through other "hot toys" resources and came up with this list of toys for girls age 5-6 - I'm fairly sure that at least one of these will be a hit - but if not there are further resources toward the bottom of the page.

Here they are...

1.  Crayon Town Toys from Wild Planet (girls and boys age 4-6) - In the past couple of years I have taken note of the creativity and thought that goes into Wild Planet toys - and this is definitely not an exception!  These are great toys, especially for girls (or boys) who like to color and draw - and create in general!  There are various sets to choose from, each one having it's own theme.  Kids can color and set up the scene then use special attachments provided in the set to make their crayons into characters or parts of the environment - what a great idea!  =D

2.   Princess and the Frog "Just One Kiss" Tiana (girls age 3-10) - This is a darling doll that is based on the "Just One Kiss" scene from the Disney movie, "Princess and the Frog".  It comes complete with lovely blue gown (that lights up and makes magical sounds) - and of course the "frog", Prince Naveen.  There are other "Tiana" toys that are also quite popular this year.

3.  Printies Design Studio from Technosourse (girls age 5 and older) - This is a wonderful and unique idea - girls can design their own stuffed animals on the computer, then print them out on special fabric, put them together and voila!  Custom designed stuffed animals.  Very cute - very creative too.  There are multiple sets to choose from.
4.  Zhu Zhu Pets (girls 3 years and older) - Depending on the girl you are shopping for, this might be a toy considered to be a bit on the "young" side, but is still quite popular with a number of girls in this age range.  Zhu Zhu pets are little mechanical hamsters that look and act like the real thing, even having their own playsets and habitats to live in.

5.  LeapFrog Leapster 2 Learning Game System - A new version of the Leapster, a great toy for both having fun and learning spelling, math and more. There are more than 30 games to choose from.

If you have come to the bottom of the list of the "best toys for girls 5 to 6" and yet have not found exactly what you think will make a great gift, here is another place to check:

All for now -
